Show R. Ward dies at 75 FRUIT HEIGHTS Ruth Adams Heywood Ward, 75, of 530 N. 1300 E., died Friday, Feb. 12, 1988 at Lakeview Hospital in Bountiful of heart failure. She was born Sept. 19, 1912 in Kaysville, a daughter of George Shirley and Vina Hillary Adams Heywood. She married Merlin Haddon Ward, Jan. 12, 1934 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She was reared in Layton, attending Davis County schools. She graduated from Davis High School. She was a member of the Fruit Heights 3rd LDS Ward and served as visiting teacher and in the Relief Society. She had worked as a dental assistant. assis-tant. Surviving are her husband of Fruit Heights, one son and one daughter, Gregory H. Ward, Layton; Claudia Ann Ward, Kaysville; Kays-ville; two grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers and two sisters, Paul Heywood, Layton; Reed Heywood, Irene Jenson, both of Bountiful; Mrs. Smith (Inez) Randall, Centerville. Funeral directors, Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary. Funeral services were conducted con-ducted by Bishop David C. Home on Feb. 16. Family prayer was offered by Robert Day; prelude, Susan Tinge-y; Tinge-y; "Ave Maria" by Mary Murdock accompanied by Margaret Hansen; invocation, Lisa Ward; remarks, Bishop David C. Home; speaker, Forest Barker; musical selection, Karl Hutchinson; speaker, speak-er, Thomas Sandquist; benediction, benedic-tion, Janet Jenson. Dedication of the grave was by Elbert Randall with interment in the Kaysville City Cemetery. Pallbearers were Paul Heywood, Reid Heywood, Jason Ward, Gregory Greg-ory Ward, Bruce Jenson and Travis Tra-vis Heywood. |
