Show T. 'Tack' Hammer LAYTON Jasper "Jack" Lee Hammer, 71, of Eagle River, Alaska, Alas-ka, formerly of Layton, died Tuesday, Tues-day, Feb. 9, 1988 at Humana Hospital Hos-pital in Anchorage, Alaska of complications com-plications of cancer. He was born March 12, 1916 in Kaw City, Okla., a son of Martin Elsie and Pearl Davis Hammer. He married Florence Christiansen Christian-sen Jan. 20, 1942. He had been a mechanic most of his life. ' He had lived in Layton until 1967 then moved to Anchorage, Alaska where he had resided the past 21 years. Surviving are his widow of Eagle River, Alaska; two sons and three daughters, Jasper "Lee" Hammer, Ham-mer, Moosepath, Alaska; Wilford "Martin" Hammer, North Pole, Alaska; Florence Peggy Halls, Clearfield; Patsy Ann Biffio, Lawrence Lawr-ence Township, New Jersey; Sally Lynne Tilton, Chugiak, Alaska; 1 1 grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren, great-grandchildren, . . . . Also surviving are three brothers and one sister, Marvin Hammer, Riverton, Wyo.; Earl Hammer, Snowflake, Ariz.; Richard McCar-dle, McCar-dle, Layton; Opal Fossett, Sacramento, Sac-ramento, Calif. Funeral directors, Lindquist's Layton Mortuary. Dale Perkins officiated at funeral services held Feb. 13 at the Lindquist's Lind-quist's Layton Chapel. Family prayer was offered by Joseph Perkins; prelude, Denece Perkins; invocation, Karie Burton; eulogy, Dale Perkins; speaker, Michael Folsom; "O My Father" by Jerome Wilden; tribute poem, Pat Perkins ; benediction, Christian Whitesides. Dedication of the jgrave was by David Perkins with interment in the Tremonton City Cemetery. Pallbearers were Aaron Hammer, Ham-mer, Christian Whitesides, Shawn Whitesides, Chad Perkins, Joe Perkins, Per-kins, David Perkins, Danny Per- ' kins, and Michael Folsom. |
