Show Water funds allocated CLEARFIELD A project to improve the culinary water system of Clearfield City, Davis County, has been authorized $800,000 from the Utah Board of Water Resources Re-sources Cities Water Loan Fund. Improvements will include a new two million gallon water storage stor-age reservoir and a new well on Hill Air Force Base property and an 18-inch diameter water transmission transmis-sion pipeline. Total estimated pro- ject is $1,562,000. The authorization made at the board's February meeting in Salt Lake City is contingent on the availability of board funds and the ability of the city to obtain the rest of construction funds. The city is expected to issue the board a non-voted non-voted revenue bond and repay board funds over a 12-year period at five percent interest with annual payments of approximately $90,000. The project' is designed to improve im-prove water service to fast growing and higher elevation northeast sections of the city, according to a feasibility report by the Utah Division of Water Resources. Re-sources. Clearfield City gets water from the Weber Basin Water Conservancy Con-servancy District and three city-owned city-owned wells. |
