Show BROWNMG LEAVES FOR OVERLAND PLATtTT Shortage of Cars This Season Sea-son Already in Evidence, He Says. Arch Browning, general manager of the Browning .uto & Supply company, left yesterday for the Overland and Willys Knight factory at Toledo, Ohio, where he will try to secure more cars for the coming season. According to Mr. Browning the spring season has opened with a rush, and all of the Overlands and Willys Knights on hand and en route are sold. Before leaving yesterday he said: When I was at the factory last tnonth I contracted for all the cars they would let me have at the time, and at that time it looked as though we would havo enough machines to take care of the demand. The severe winter added to that feeling, but when it started to thaw a few days ago the orders began coming in. In almost no time we had sold every car on hand and the greater part of the cars en route are also sold. I do not think we will have Rn unsold car of any kind by the end of next week. The factory is doing its best and shipments are being made regularly, but even this will not furnish us" with as many cars as we will need. I am going to try and get more cars. What success suc-cess I will have T cannot say, but I will do my best. While in the east I will try and take in the Chicago automobile show, where I hope to meet a great many other dealers from this territory. Pales Manager Edmonds will be in charse of the Browning business while Mr. Browning is away. |
