Show EUREKA BULLIQEM IS MAKIOOOUCER Professor J. H. "Weber, mine expert and g-eologist, who returned Friday from an examination of the Eureka Bullion of TIntic, has made to the local offices a report that Is both comprehensive and favorable. The Eureka Bullion joins the Eureka Lilly, whose end lines are within 1500 feet of the famous Tintic Standard. In his report Professor Weber says in part: The perpendicular shaft has been ! sunk on a northwest and southeast fissure at about 200 feet. Larg-o caves and open crevices appeared. These were filled with secondary material. ma-terial. Then at 300 feet the vein became be-came very heavily mineralized with large bodies of iron, manganese and a secondary calcite. This was ac companied with a brecclatlon which, is recemented by calcareous waters. This recementation has pieces of quartz, jasperoid and dolomitic limestone lime-stone which ore the walls, and it is In the fame lime stratas in which are found the &reat mines on the western west-ern arm of the synclinal fold. The fissure on the surface shows a width of nearly fifty feet and is highly mineralized min-eralized and oxidized and shows gTeat leach in ga. There are some values now, but most of thejn have leached below and a body of secondary enrichment or is sure to be found at depth. This vein is a parallel one to the TIntic F-tandard and the same cross-veins cross-veins that helped make that wonderful wonder-ful body of ore Is cutting across the Lilly and the Eureka Bullion. There are two zones of ore in the Lilly and Standard. The Lilly shipped from its upper zone for years and the Standard found some ore in this zone, but most of it leached and helped make the big. ore body of ore it now has. In this) upper zone the Eureka Bullion will open a body of ore. Samples ci out of the shaft at 320 feet have been shown to two superintendents super-intendents of. mines in Eureka and many other mine owners and mining men and everyone declares that as more depth is reached . big bodv of ore will be round, as the same characteristics char-acteristics of ore always appear before be-fore the main body comes In. The company is sinking the shaft with hammer air drills nearly three feet per day, ajid with every round of shots it looks hotter and better for a body of ore. |
