Show ORIGIN OF ECCLES FIRE IS MYSTERY ! Special to The Tribune. ' OGDEN, Jan. 27. In the absence of I Mr. and Mrs. William II. Eccles, who 1 have not yet arrived from Baker, Ore., i there were virtually no developments to-jday to-jday in the unsolved circumstances sur-I sur-I rounding possibio robbery and tire at the Eccles home on Jefferson avenue early Friday morning. Several boy friends of .Walker Eccles. 18 years of ae, yon of the house owner, who are known to have attended parties in the house during the past few weeks, have been released by the police pending the arrival of Mr. Eccles from Oregon. Although these boys bad previously accompanied ac-companied "Walker Eccles on night visits to the Jefferson avenue home, It has been established by the police that the son of the owner was not present when two of the boys, accompanied by two girls of prominent Ogden families, visited the house Thursday night. They are said to have remained until an early hour yridav morning, but assert that everything ev-erything was all right when they departed. de-parted. Three hours later the beautiful home was damaged by fire to the extent of more than $6000. The police have also ascertained that much of the silverware and other valuables, valu-ables, which were at first reported missing, miss-ing, have been accounted for by the fact that the son removed them to the home of his sister after his parents left the city. There is a possibility, however, that clothing and other articles have been ; taken. This feature of the loss will not be definitely determined until the arrival of Mr. and Mrs. Eccles. |
