Show 10 CHISE LOCATION OF STATE UNIVERSITY Special to The Tribune. BOISE, Idaho, Jan. 27. A new tentative ten-tative educational institution consolidation consolida-tion programme was proposed at a joint meeting of the educational institution committees of the house and senate of the present legislature with the state board of education this afternoon, which, in the concrete, is to give the University of Idaho a more central location lo-cation by establishing it at Boise or some place in this section of the state: to abandon the Lewiston normal and establish it in the university buildings at Moscow, giving to the north one state normal; to abandon the Albion normal at Albion and locate it at Poca-tello, Poca-tello, combining It with the Idaho Technical Tech-nical institute there, thereby keeping the second state normal school in the southern part of the state. Senator Harding of Oneida county first proposed that a general consolidation consolida-tion programme for the state educa- tional institution? be -worked out. He was followed by Representative Svtorey of Ada county, for a number of sessions a member of the legislature, who indorsed in-dorsed the plan. Senator Jackson of Bonner county first suggested that the University of1 Idaho be given a more centra location where climatic renditions rendi-tions would be more favorable. Other members of the committee joined in the discussion. Xo definite action was taken. The primary purpose of the joint conference was to ascertain the needs of the eevera.l institutions. A conference was held with the appropriation appropria-tion committee of the house bv tho board regarding the budgets for the several sev-eral institutions under its control, which have to be revised owing to the limitation of the bonded indebtedness of the state.
