Show STUDENT THESPIANS SHOW GOOD TALENT L. D. S. UniTerslty Dramatic Club Members Mem-bers Present Comedy at Salt Lake Theater. The annual production of the L. D. S. University Xrramatie club was given last evening in the Salt Lake theater before a crowded house. The young thespians presented the four-act comedy, come-dy, ''An American Citizen," by Madeleine Made-leine Lucette Kyley. Unusual dramatic ability was shown by the students in the cast and the play was undoubtedly the best that has ever been presented by the church school dramatic association. associa-tion. Byron Maw, in the leading man's role of Beresford Cruger( kept the house in an uproar by his clever remarks re-marks and natural comedy. Miss Evelyn Eve-lyn Schank as leading lady, portraying the part of Beatrice Carew, played hor part well and brought much favorable criticism from the audience. The ether members of the cast followed their lines perfectly and upheld their parts with credit. The other parts and their representatives were: Eead Michelsen, Petro Barbury; Frank Iverson, Sir Humphrey Hum-phrey Bunn; Alvln Nelson, Egerton Brown; Eulon Free, Willie Bunn; Alan Wood, Otto Stroble; Stanley McAllister, Lucas; Lester Ringby, Simms; Miss Aimee Whitney, Carola Chapin; Miss Mary Woolley, Lady Bunn ; Miss Amie Redd, Georgia Chapin; Miss Lucille Schettler, Annette; Elmer Pratt, Mercury; Mer-cury; Clark Baker, vendor; Lorenzo Clawson, waiter. Miss Margaret Caldwell, head of the school dramatic department, has been coaching the players and considerable credit is due her for the successful presentation. |
