Show IS CHARGED WITH PROMOTING THEFT Man Accused of Prompting Man to Steal Pheasant Prom Chicken Coop on Neff Farm. Alleged to have induced Ben Binley to steal a Chinese pheasant from a chicken coop on the farm of David Neff of East Mill Creek, Dan L. Eussell is charged with petty larceny in a. complaint com-plaint issued yesterday from the office of the county attorney. , - Binley admitted in the county attorney's at-torney's office yesterday to Deputy Sheriff Ben Haries that he took the pheasant from the Neff coop to 'that on the farm of Eussell, about a mile and a half distant. He said that he did it at the request of Eussell, and that Eua-sell Eua-sell accompanied him. Detection of the place to which the bird was removed was accomplished by Joseph Chamberlain, 15 years of age, who lives on the Neff farm and to whom the pheasant belongs. He found the trail of a man leading away from the coop through tho snow. Ho followed it by the splotches of tobacco juice that had been spat upon the snow at short intervals by the person who left the trail. When the bird was found in Eussell 's coop, the trail having led thence, the youtn was in a quandary, since Eussell does Hot chew tobacco. Deputy Sheriff Harries found the tobacco cnewer in Binley and upon his confession . swore to a complaint against Eussell. |
