Show SAFFORD IS FOUND GUILTY OF PERJURY NEW YORK, Jan. 27. A jury in the federal district court, after deliberating ten hours, returned a verdict tonlghf finding Franklin D. Safford guilty of perjury per-jury when he swore that James W. Osborne, Os-borne, former assistant district attorney, attor-ney, was the "Oliver Osborne" who accompanied ac-companied Rao Tanzer to a Plalnfield, N. J., hotel. The jury recommended mercy for Safford, Saf-ford, who previously had been convicted and sentenced to a term In prison, but was granted a new trlaL The present trial began January S. |
