All children are ex-f ex-f pected in school and in their classes on the opening day, August 30. "The usual practice of providing for sJl first year high school or ninth grade pupils, either at the East or the West high schools this year ill be somewhat modified. A beginning will be made toward providing for first" year high school of ninth Oracle pupils in-different centers throughout the city.jn connection with junior high schools. Junior high schools will come to' include seventh, eighth and ninth grade students. The plan involves equipping junior high schools with every ev-ery convenience for carrying on the advanced work heretofore carried on only in the two centers above named. This year provision is being made for 9A pupils to enter the Bryant junior high school - and the Irving junior high school. The Bryant junior high school will receive 9A or first year high school pupils from the Bryant. Longfellow and Ensign districts, also from the Oquirrh and Webster districts north of Fourth South streets, as well as a limited lim-ited number of pupils from the Wasatch Wa-satch and Lowell districts and contiguous con-tiguous territory. The Irving junior high school will receive 9A pupils living in the southeastern south-eastern part of the city, wjthin boundaries boun-daries described as follows: Beginning at the city limits on Fifth East streets, thence north to Twenty-first South street, thence east to Seventh East street,, thence north of Bryan avenue, thence east to Twelfth East street, thence south to Seventeenth South street, thence east to city limits. A detailed boundary line for all the 'schools, will be ready for publication in a few days. |
