Show r Art center will exhibit senior student's work All high school students residing in Davis County are invited to be-' be-' gin making plans to participate in ..: the upcoming Davis County High ;' School Students Art Exhibit at the Bountiful-Davis Art Center. The invitational exhibit, open to senior high school students in the county, will be displayed at the Bountiful-Davis Art Center March 6-18. Drawings, paintings, graphics, photography, ceramics and sculpture sculp-ture are acceptable as entries. Each high school art department will be responsible for jurying and choosing pieces to be submitted from their school. Any Davis County high school student interested in-terested in participating should ; contact his-her art teacher at the school, or may call the art center at 292-0367. Receiving for the show is Feb. 29 and March 1. ' High school seniors participating participat-ing in this exhibit will be considered consi-dered for scholarships from Utah colleges and universities. Scholarship Scholar-ship committees from throughout the state will attend this exhibit for the purpose of finding candidates for scholarship awards in art. A contest will be held for the design to be printed on the front of announcements for this exhibit. Davis County high school students are eligible to enter one or two designs de-signs for consideration. Deadline for announcement designs entries is Feb. 5. Students who wish to enter may contact the art center. The 1988 Davis County High School Students Art Exhibit is sponsored by Mervyn's. The Bountiful-Davis Art Center is located at 2175 S. Main, Bountiful. Bounti-ful. Gallery hours are: Sunday 2-5 p.m., Monday 5-9 p.m., and Tues- day-Friday 10 a.m. -5 p.m. |
