Show IDistrict lists positions open0 By DONETA GATHERUM FARMINGTON The Davis County Board of Education is still taking applications for several administrative positions within the district. Those interested should contact the personnel office before the end of January. Openings on the central office level include a pupil personal coordinator, coor-dinator, an elementary reading and languages arts specialist, a coordinator coordi-nator for music and performing arts and a director for research and evaluation eva-luation (testing). All positions are full time and the appointments will be made so those selected can start work in June 1988. Applications are still being taken for a part-time director of the nonprofit non-profit Davis Foundation. The District Dis-trict has received 30 applications for this positions already. Many are from retired business executives. execu-tives. The District is looking for high school principals to work at Bountiful, Boun-tiful, Davis and Viewmont High Schools. Davis and Viewmont will also be getting new assistant principals. prin-cipals. Syracuse Junior High School will get a new principal because of the retirement at the end of this school year of Richard Egan. There will only be one elementary elemen-tary school principalship opening for next year. The principal at Reading Elementary will be retiring. re-tiring. The early retirement incentive offered by the state legislature last year coupled with the appointment of a new Davis District Superintendent Superinten-dent of schools, appointments of many new administrators, changes in assignments, the creation of new' administrative positions and the elimination of existing administrative administra-tive jobs has made this year one of historic transition and change in the Davis School District. ...
