Show Art exhibits to circulate in schools Ten traveling exhibits of art works are currently in circulation throughout the Davis County School District, and two more are in the planning stages, thanks to a grant from Mervyn's to the Bountiful-Davis Art Center's educational programs. The exhibits may be borrowed by the schools free of charge, and may each be "checked out" for a . period of eight school days for display dis-play in the school. Exhibits now in circulation are: "LeConte Stewart Graphics Set 1 . and Set 2," "Etchings of the Old .West" by E.J. (Bill) Bird, Water-color Water-color Landscapes by Frank Huff, photographs by John Schaefer, "Spider Woman" Navajo weaving, weav-ing, "Murals" by.Anton. J. Ras-mussen, Ras-mussen, French Impressionism "A Day .in the Country," "Abstractions "Ab-stractions from Nature," by Tom i Howard, "A Vagabond for Beau-: Beau-: ty" prints by Everett Ruess. Other exhibits to be added to the ;. roster later this year include a dis-: dis-: play on computer art and video films on women artists. Teachers and administrators in-;' in-;' terested in acquiring any or all of the exhibits for display in their school may reserve them by calling ;' . the Art Center at 292-0367. The Bountiful-Davis Art Center is lo-cated lo-cated at 2175 S. Main, Bountiful and is a public non-profit arts orga- nization serving Davis County and the state. |
