President Wanda Staley was excused and George Long, board director, conducted the meeting. Fifty-three members and interested persons enjoyed a program given by Hope and Erland Preece on the trail rides taken by the Brush Creek and Diamond Mountain Cattlemen in the early part of the century. Erland showed slides of the cowmen who participated in this ride. Erland also showed slides featuring scenes of areas in Colorado and in the Eastern part of the nation. The next meeting will be held June 9 at the Golden Age Center. The program featuring the Brush Creek, Taylor, Dry Fork and Diamond Montains will be continued by George and La Von Wall. |
