Show $ . "-.ij- ' ;' MR. AND MRS. RICK Lee Townsend Ceremony unites Mead and Townsend Lisa Marie Mead and Rick Lee Townsend were married May 2 at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bill G. Mead, Vernal. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Townsend, Rangely, Colo., and Peru, Indiana. Bishop Byron Merrill performed the double-ring ceremony before relatives and friends of the couple from Vernal and Rangely. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a gown of antique white gauze trimmed with satin ribbon. Dainty peach roses adorned the bodice and skirt and a deep flounce edged with lace circled the bottom. The neckline of the dress was accented with a lace insert, stand-up' lace collar and tiny pearl buttons. She wore a large brimmed white hat with a ribbon cascade fastened with roses and dogwood blossoms. She carried a traditional bouquet of apricot colored roses and daisies and cocoa dogwood blossoms entwined with ecru lace. Attending the bride was Tauttianna Townsend, sister-in-law of the bride, who wore a white spring dress. The groom wore a pale blue cut-away tuxedo. Marvin Eugene Capps, Vernal, and Mary Sue Couey, Meeker, Colo., issued May 15, 1981. Walter Francis Schlick III, and Rita Gail Durbin, both of Vernal, issued May 15, 1981. Weston T. Caldwell, Vernal, and Martha Fuller, Irvine, Kentucky, issued May 18, 1981. Kenferd John Davis and Shanon Rena Weld, both of Vernal, issued May 19, 1981. Owens, friend of the groom. Usher was Mike Mead. A reception for the newlyweds followed the ceremony. Receiving guests was Laura Hatch. At the guest book was Debra Mead, sister of the bride. Donna Mead took care of the gift table and serving were Deb Helm, Dawn Hatch and Penny Nero. The home was decorated for the wedding with silk flower arrangements in the brides colors of cocoa, apricot and antique white. The three tiered wedding cake, decorated with white lace, was topped with wedding bells, hearts and blossoms. The cake was displayed on a round mirror with peach and dogwood . blossom clusters. The young couple took a wedding trip to Peru, Indiana. Upon returning they will make their home in Rangely, Colo. |
