BURT SMITH May 1 ceremony unites Walker, Smith Nancy S. Walker became the bride of Burt Smith in a double ring ceremony at the home of the bride's parents on May 1. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Walker Jr., and the groom is the son of Judy Kraft, Vernal and Burton Smith, Las Vegas, Nev. The marriage was performed by Bishop Roland Hein before friends and relatives. For her wedding, the bride was radiant in a colonial style gown of silk organza and lace trimmed with satin ribbon and eyelet flowers. It featured a high collar, fitted waistline and long sheer sleeves. Her short two layer veil was trimmed to match her dress and . was fastened to a cap of eyelet flowers. She carried a bridal bouquet of peach and blue carnations. The groom wore a pale blue tuxedo witn navy velvet rim. : " 'T. ': Maid of honor was Karla Fletcher, who wore a long peach dress and carried a single blue long stemmed carnation. Flower girls were Michelle Walker, niece of the bride, and Kim-berly Kim-berly Draft, sister of the groom. They carried baskets of peach and blue carnations. The bride's mother chose for her daughter's wedding a blue street length dress. She wore a blue and peach corsage. The bridegroom's mother wore a peach long sleeved gown with a blue md peach corsage. Wade Montgomery served as best man. A reception followed the ceremony at the Vernal Ninth Ward cultural hall. At to guest book was Denise Riding. Helping with the gifts were Mary Walker, Teresa Smith and Jennifer Hadden. Gift bearers were Jay and Jennifer Evans. Serving were Sidney Richards, tonya, Melissa and Cheryl Evans, Wins of the bride. The three tiered wedding cake was ftm made by a friend, Sylvia Chew, and was decorated with peach and blue daisies. Special out of town guests for the wedding and reception were Willmetta Smith, Pleasant Grove; Gladys Spavgy, Orem; Hattie Griffith, Lake Point; Mariana and Terry Jensen, Denver; Gloria, Stacy and Leslie Smith, Las Vegas, Nev. A Tupperware shower was given for the bride by Janice Weeks and Betty Jean Montgomery. She was further honored at a personal shower given by Karla Fletcher and Denise Riding. The newlyweds honeymooned in the Salt Lake City area. For travel, the bride wore designer jeans and a summer silk top. The couple will make their home in Maeser. |
