Puehessi Eagles place 4f h and 6th in "3 -A siafle frock aeid field meet Duchesne High School nabbed sixth ' place in the 1-A boys state track meet with 37 points. Beaver placed first at 82 points and Parowan captured second place at 66'4 counters. Kanab placed third at 642 points and North Sevier netted fourth place at 43 counters. Dugway nabbed fifth place at 39 points. Tal Fabrizio nabbed second place in the high jump and Jeff Addley netted second place in the shot put. Kim Lyman of Escalante won the high jump with a leap of 6 feet and Jack Engel, Dugway, won the shot put with a toss of 43 feet and 634 inches. Addley also placed plac-ed fifth in the javelin. Tracy Mullen-dore, Mullen-dore, Dugway, won the javelin with a toss of 165'6". Darren Ercanbrack pocketed third place in the 1600 meter run and fourth place in the 800 meter run. Rod Rowley nabbed sixth place in the pole vault and Russ Lefler pocketed sixth place in the 3200 meter run. Jay Lindford bagged fourth place in the discus. Duchesne picked up fifth place in the medley relay and sixth place in the 1600 meter relay. Duchesne's girl tracksters captured fourth place in the 1-A meet at 38 points and all of the Eagles' points were scored by one trackster, Debbie Young. Young captured three first places and one second place. She pocketed top honors in 100 meter hurdles at 15.49 and set a new state record. Young nabbed ' " first place in the 100 meter dash at 13.19 and netted top honors in the high jump at 4'10". Young placed second in the long jump.
