Show EAAT course in Vernal Friday. May 29, is the scheduled starting date for a course in Fmergency Medical Technician Training (KMT), to prepare enrollees in the necessary medical procedures for emergency basic life support systems The course will be conducted by the Fintah Basin Area Vocational Center in Vernal with Gary Fountaine as local coordinator and assisted by Kevin Ashby of Roosevelt. Qualified instructors and physicians from the Uintah Basin will teach in the many specialized areas. Those persons who successfully complete this EMT course will qualify for a certificate as an Fmergency Medical Technician and will also be qualified for amublance crew duty. Classes will te conducted Friday evenings and Saturday mornings for approximately nine hours each week. The course emphasizes the development develop-ment of student skill in recognition of synitonis of illnesses and injuries and proper procedures of emergency care. Variable college credit may be earned for successful completion of this course through Utah State University by paying an additional cost for recording the credit. A student may earn three (3), six (() or nine (9) credits by paying the st in plated credit fee and completing the course with a sal isfai lory grade.
