ANDY MITCHELL with some of the awards he received for the table he built in woods classes at Uintah High School. Andy Mitchell wins award Andy Mitchell, senior at Uintah High School, won a first place in state building competition for a table he made in woods class the past year at Uintah High School. Andy also displayed the table at the state high school vocational meet in Provo on May 11 and 12, and won a second place ribbon. Andy made the table for his parents, ' Mr. and Mrs. Ken Lind. It is of solid oak and extends to 17 feet 3 inches when all nine leaves are in place. When closed with both drop leaves down, the table measures 48 inches by 47 inches. At the Uintah High School awards banquet which was held Thursday, Andy was presented a trophy as outstanding out-standing builder. |
