Show NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS Sealed proposals will be received by the Utah Department of Transportation, Transpor-tation, Room 627, State Office Building. Salt Lake City, Utah, until 2 o'clock p.m. Tuesday, June 9, 1981, and at that time publicly opened for construction con-struction of Bridge Replacement in Uintah County, the same being situated on State Road No. 45 at Powder Wash and Little Powder Wash Northwest of Bonanza identified as Federal Aid Project No. BRS-RS-0267 (1). The principal items of work are approximately as follows: 2 Unit Removal of Bridges and 84 Lin. Ft. of 9'6" x 6'5" Structural Plate Pipe Arch. The project is to be completed in 40 working days. The attention of bidders is directed to the Special Provisions covering subletting or assigning the contract. In conformity with the Federal-aid Highway Act of 1968 the U.S. Department Depart-ment of Labor has certified cer-tified the wage rates for this project which are the minimum wages to be paid on this project. These rates are made a part of the contract documents. The attention of bidders is directed to the fact that this Department has been advised by the Wage and Hour Division, U.S. Department of Labor, that contractors engaged in highway construction work are required to meet the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938 (52 Stat. 1060). The Utah Department of Transportation, in accordance ac-cordance with the provisions provi-sions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252) and the Regulations of the Department of Commerce Com-merce (15 C.F.R. Part 8), issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively affir-matively ensure that the contract entered into pursuant pur-suant to- this advertiser ; ment will be awarded 'to j the lowest responsible bidder without discrimination on the grounds of race, color, or national origin. The Utah Department of Transportation Transpor-tation also notifies all biders that it will affirmatively affir-matively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, adver-tisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity oppor-tunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, col-or, sex, or national origin in consideration for an award. A current list of minority minori-ty contractors, suppliers, and equipment lessors is available and will be furnished fur-nished by the Utah Department of Transportation, Transpor-tation, Room 608, State Office Building, upon request. re-quest. Proposal forms, plans and specifications are on file in the office of the Utah Department of Transportation, Salt Lake City, and the office of its District Director at Orem, Utah where they may be reviewed by prospective pro-spective bidders. Specifications, proposal forms and plans may be obtained only at the Department Offices at Salt Lake City, upon application ap-plication and payment of a fee of $10.00 no part of which will be refunded. Each bidder must submit sub-mit a bid bond from an approved surety company com-pany on forms provided by the Department; or in lieu thereof, cash, certified cer-tified check, or cashier's check for not less than 5 percent of the total amount of the bid, made payable to the Utah Department of Transportation, Transpor-tation, as evidence of good faith and a guarantee that if awarded award-ed the contract, the bidder bid-der will execute the contract con-tract and furnish the contract con-tract bonds as required. The right to reject any or all bids is reserved. Any additional information infor-mation mav be secured at the office of the Utah Department of Transpor tation. Dated this 16th day of May, 1981.
