Show Statistical report shows growth With the 1980 statistics in for Utah counties in Utah Economic and Business Review report for March, published by the Business of Economic and Business Research, gives the economic indicators for the three Uintah Basin counties. The five economic indicators showing percentage of increase from 1979 compared to 1980 (Uintah County first, Duchesne County second and Daggett County third) is as follows: Average non-agriculture employment, em-ployment, 7.7, 1.5; average monthly non-agriculture wage, 5.2, 15.3, 22.1; property taxes charged, 26.3, minus 0.6, 12.4; gross taxable sales, 12.9, 6, 0.8; number of new dwelling units, minus 9.7, 12, minus 75. An outstanding figure in the business statistics report was that postal receipts for the Uintah Basin region increased 34.3 percent for the 12 month average from January 1980 to January 1981. This is by far the greatest postal receipts increase of any other multi-county multi-county regions in the state listed in the report. |
