Decorations were lilacs. Luncheon was served. The Relief society choir entertained at a surprise party Monday evening at the home of Mrs. Addle Steed, In honor of Mrs. Cecilia Steed, who is moving to Salt Lake for the summer. Musical numbers and games formed the entertainment for the evening, after which luncheon was served to thirty. Mrs. James Dunbar entertained a few friends Friday afternoon. The house was decorated in flags and lilacs. Luncheon was served. Those present from Salt Lake were Mr. and Mrs. YV. J. Willis, Mrs. Rachel Simmons, Mrs. Josephine Wllks, Mrs. Alice Tacymn, Mrs. Walde-mar Walde-mar Petterson and F. R. Snow. The Davis county Red Cross chapter will make a shipment of finished articles Monday, Mrs. Grochner and daughter, Ruth, visited in Farmlngton. Sunday, at the home of Mrs. J. W. Taylor. Mrs. Nephi Palmer attended the annual an-nual convention of the G. A. R. as a delegate Saturday afternoon of last week, in Salt Lake. Mrs. Zina Young Card of Salt Lake visited at the home of Mrs. J. W. Taylor. Monday and Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Burton and Mr. and Mrs. Wyne Attwood of Salt Lake visited friends in Farmlngton, Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Bone, from Camp Kearny, are visiting friends in Farming-ton Farming-ton and Layton for a few weeks. Mr. Bone is home on a furlough. I. Evaos. Muel-lor, Muel-lor, a former missionary to Persia, was read hy Mrs. Theodore Lee. Experiences on his first trip to France as a radio operator with a United States convoy, by F. Stewart Dart, was read by Mre. Effie Dart. At S o'clock the hostess, assisted as-sisted by the Misses Margaret Dart and Molly Thorvaldson, served a New England dinner. Miss Marie Taylor entertained at cards Tuesday evening in compliment to two Lehl -volunteers or the week, her brother, Stanley Taylor, and Floyd Goates. About forty guests were present and spent ihe evening in music and cards. Miss Ruth Pajmer left Tuesday for Calgary, Cal-gary, Canada, where she will spend the summer1. Wednesday Miss Alice Mullen was married mar-ried to Jerry M. Jones at Ogden. After a short visit in Salt Lake City, they will return to Malad, where they will make their home. Miss Nellie Farnsworth left Monday for her home in Kansas. Friday afternoon Mrs. A. W. Bush entertained en-tertained at a linen shower for Mrs. W. S. Williams. The afternoon was spent In needlework. Luncheon was served. Miss Agnes Sutherland left Monday for Salt Lake City to visit friends. Mr. and Mrs. S. D. Vavis have returned from a visit at Salt Lake City. Friday the Richards family held their annual family reunion in the assembly hall of the Second ward church. Eighty-nine Eighty-nine members of the family were present. A party was given in honor of Miss Eva Jones Wednesday evening. Miss Jones will leave for Blackfoot seon to make her home. Progressive "500" was the game of the evening. Refreshments were served. Mrs. W.- A. Davidson has returned from a visit at Burley, Idaho. Mrs. Fred Horlacher left Tuesday for Canada, where she will visit her mother. A patriotic programme was given hy the second, sec-ond, third and fourth grade pupils of the Palmyra Pal-myra school Wednesday evening at the ward meeting house, under the direction of their teacher, Miss Eliza Money- The entertainment consisted of singing, recitations, character sketches and impersonations of noted men and soldiers. A vote of thankfi was tendered Miss Money by the patrons of the district for her excellent work during the school year, which closed with the evening's entertainment. Mr. and Mrs. H. M.
