Show SPECIAL TRAINING FOR WOMEN GIVEN Reed College, of Portland, Ore., Selected Se-lected to Teach Methods of Remedial Exercises. Professor Mosiah Hall, state high school inspector, was notified yesterday by William T. Foster, president of Rood college at Portland, Ore., that the surgeon general of the United States lias selected that institution as the only one in the west for training women wo-men to give remedial exercises and massage prescribed for wounded soldiers sol-diers in military hospitals. President Poster asks Professor Hall to aid the surgeon general in obtaining from Utah the best possible candidates for the training course for reconstruction reconstruc-tion aides at Reed college this summer. sum-mer. The course is given from June 24 to September 6. Included in the course are instructions instruc-tions in anatomy, physiology, personal hygiene, psychological aspects of recovery, re-covery, posture, theory of bandaging, military hospital management, massage, mas-sage, remedial exercises and clinics in orthopedic surgery. French is provided pro-vided as an optional study.
