Show worked out. The second went a step higher, by showing how the different units were applied to vases, bottles, etc., which had previously been given a background back-ground of enamelac. The third booth carried the work still further, by applying apply-ing these units of decoration on furniture, furni-ture, table runners and other household articles, which showed the value and beauty of design in the home. The last booth was the climax of this work, when these' same units were worked out on the daintiest of materials. Two practical booths were the ones showing dressmaking and designing and the making of millinery. These booths were artistically decorated in delicate colors of lavender and white. The patriotic booth of this section was that of the Red Cross workers. On display dis-play were samples of the many hundreds of bandages made by the pupils. Another feature of this booth comprised the pretty Red Cross nurses, in uniform, who explained ex-plained the use of bandages and their making. The booth showing the most complicated compli-cated and difficult line of work was the one displaying the designing of patterns, several articles of clothing being shown that were designed and made from drafted patterns. The color scheme of this booth was skillfully carried out in the school colors of orange and black, and was conducted by tho senior girls. The visitors were next taken to the domestic do-mestic science room, where they were given an interesting demonstration of the work being done by this department, such as the proper and improper feeding feed-ing of children, the uses of wheat substitutes substi-tutes and the importance of canning and the preparation of foods for winter use. The visitors, in conclusion, were shown the art exhibit, a wonderful collection of paintings done by the art class in crayon, charcoal, water color and oil. One of the main features of -this section sec-tion was the excellent cartoon work, demonstrated by one of the pupils, Arthur La rsen. The1 exhibition as a whole was one of highly educational value and one that will be long remembered. The people of Murray Mur-ray had the pleasure yesterday of seeing a most remarkable Demonstration exhibition, exhibi-tion, which was prepared by the Murray high school students. From 9 until 10:30 a. m. the visitors saw the regular class work in progress. First, a very exceptional musical demonstration demon-stration was given, under the direction of Professor W. T. Robinson. Each one present expressed surpriso at, and appreciation appre-ciation of, the work rendered by the talented tal-ented musicians. After the concert the visitors were taken over the gyrnna-sium building, where they saw a splendid exhibit .Around the domestic art room a number num-ber of articles were artistically placed and trimmed to catch and hold the eye, together with the tables, buffets and many other things made by the manual training students, with such merits as to evoke remark about the superiority of the workmanship. The first two booths consisted of boys demonstrating how their work was done. The next four booths showed interesting interest-ing and practical war-saving exhibitions. The making over of useless tilings and the decorating of these. These booths were under the head of the construction of units and applied designs.
