Show Irene Martinez Irene O. Martinez, 54, of 1184 N. 300 W., Layton, died Sunday, Jan. 17, 1988 at her home of cancer. She was born Sept. 9, 1933 in Alamosa, Colo., a daughter of Joe and Jenny DeHerrera Cordova. She married John 6. Martinez Jan. 21, 1951 in Monte Vista, Colo. She had been employed at Safeway Safe-way Food Stores for 18 years. She was a lifelong resident of Layton, reared and educated in Colorado. She was a member of the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Layton. Surviving are her husband of Layton, three sons and three daughters, Johnny Martinez and Gary Martinez, both of Clearfield; Mark Martinez, Florida; Mrs. Richard (Joni) Chapa, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Michael (Kay) Cram, Clearfield; Mrs. Lawrence (Karen) Kushner, Haverhill, Mass.; and 11 grandchildren. Also surviving are her mother of Denver, Colo.; four brothers and six sisters, Joe Cordova, Donald Cordova, Bobby Cordova, Leo Cordova, Rosalee Rivali, Clara Leon, Delores Cordova, Ann Cordova, Cor-dova, Kathy Vialpando and Vivian Madrid, all of Colorado. She was preceded in death by ! I C ' 1 - .v..tIMM.lMaJ IRENE O. MARTINEZ her father, one sister and one grandson. Funeral directors, Lindquist's Layton Mortuary. Funeral Mass was held at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church on Jan. 20. Interment was in the Clearfield Clear-field City Cemetery.
