| Show THURSDAY NIGHT WILL BE AN AU singers have a busy week planned during their stay at the fair from tuesdays standard for some time past the management ot the tabernacle choir has had in mind the giving of a concert to help raise funds toy their proposed trip to portland but found it impossible because the salt lake artists could not be secured owing to previous engagements it has been decided however to give a big concert on the return of the choir when the weather will be much more favorable and the artists can be secured thursday night however the choir will give a public rehearsal complimentary to those who ave contributed to the choir fund the choruses will be interspersed with short talks by prominent ogden citizens it Is desired at least that those who have helped make the trip possible may hear some ot the choruses to be rendered at portland tickets will be given those who have contributed tri buted aad space representing the ticket will be reserved only until 8 IS when the general public will be admitted it has been definitely arranged to have two concerts in portland august 22 and 23 in festival hall within the fair grounds monday night august 21 the choir will open the irrigation congress with the rendition of the irrigation ode and thursday utah day a number of choruses will be sung in festival hall so the choir will be icett very busy the six days in portland |
