| Show liy KS AW A irsic TO IA STATE convention TO BE EN LIVENED BY entertainment parades shows music banquets and other amusements for the visiting delegates from wednesdays standard for the entertainment of their guests on august 29 and 30 when the state convention of elks is to be held here tha local lodge is planning to hold what is really a street carnival they have leased utahna park foe the evenings of the two days and in addition to the regular vaudeville performance there will be a number of tent shows about tho grounds the tent shows one 0 the committee says will be a show of freaks not freaks who are so classed by reason of physical deformities but freaks in the line of shows something new two banda will be in attendance during the convention the twenty ninth infantry band from fort douglas and nichols band the first day of ahe there will be two parades one in tho morning and another at night both bedora and after the parada in the morning there will be band concerts by nichola bana and in the evening tt fore douglas band will give a concert from the elks club house veranda the afternoon of ahe second day the local lodge hlll entertain their visitors at the hermitage with a banquet the money att after paying tho expenses of the convention will bo turner into the charity fund of tho local lodge |
