The party was given at the hojne of Miss Louise Cowan on South Ninth East street. The house was beautifully decorated with a profusion of gladioluses and other fall garden flowers. Dainty refreshments were served. A shower was given Thursday Thurs-day evening for Miss Viola Love and Leslie Paul at Wandamere. A supper was given at the cafe and covers were laid for thirty. Sunflowers Sunflow-ers were used throughout the house, while the table from which supper was served had for a centerpiece a large basket of the same flowers. Hand-painted Hand-painted place cards were used, which added to the pretty color scheme. At the close of the evening each of the guests of honor was presented with a handsome set of silver. Miss Vic Midg-ley Midg-ley will entertain the club this week. The J. G. S. club gave a lake partv Friday night. A picnic supper was served with covers for sixteen. Clark. 441 C street, in honor of Miss Helene Clark. The decorations were in purple and gold. A lawn party was given at the home of Mrs. J. G. Hill. 648 North Second West street. Friday evening bv Miss Ellen Whitcar. The evening was spent in games and was followed bv refresh- ments. The lawn was decorated in Japanese lanterns. About twenty-five were present. A surprise party was given bv Miss Elsie Burnbam and Miss Margaret Woodard for Miss Ardeli Hulse at th latter 's home last Thursday evening. The house was decorated in pink and white asters, and the color scheme was carried I out in the refreshments. The hostesses were assisted by Mrs. Hulse and daughters. daugh-ters.
