With Chuck Ward signed up for next year, Portland is not going out of Its way to get Infielder Herb Murphy, who was turned over to the Spokane Northwestern Northwest-ern league team by the Beavers this spring. Ward appears to have more of a future ahead of him than Murphy and is a faster player, although not as hard a hitter. |
