Show HARCOMBE GIVES BOND. Attorney Who Is Alleged Embezzler Is Brought Back to Face Charges. Special to The Tribune. OGDEN. Sept. 4. In custody of Sheriff T. A. DeVine and J. L. Hobson, chief deputy. W. W. Harcombe, the former Ogden attorney wanted in this city on a charge of embezzlement, arrived In the city this morning from Green Bay, Wis., where he was arrested two weeks ago. The complaint on which Harcombe was arrested and brought back to this city ' charges that he embezzled $225 from the C. J. Herrick Furniture company in this city. The attorney had been Jn the citv less than three hours when he was taken before be-fore Judge W. H. Reeder In the municipal court for preliminary arraignment for the the purpose of fixing his bond. The amount was fixed at $800 and Harcombe immediately furnished security. The time for his preliminary arraignment to plead to the charge has not been fixed. Harcombe had charge of the collection collec-tion department of the law firm of Boyd, DeVine & Eccles when he committed the :illeged embezzlement. Members of the law firm assert that the shortage resulting result-ing from Harcomhe's alleged defalcations will total $6000. The attorney was trailed to several cities and towns In Wisconsin and Minnesota before he was arrested at Green Bay. |
