Show TO RESUME WORK ON LE IE TUNNEL Big Bore, When Completed; Will Be Deepest One in District. Preparations are under 'way to relume re-lume the work of driving the LeVine tunnel to develop the LeVine-Pratt-Allen group of claims located in Pine canyon In Tooele countr. The final ob jective of the tunnel is to reach at greater depth a number of the properties proper-ties in the Bingham district, and the. proposed length of the big bore whn-h ifl to be used for mining, transportation and drainage purposes, is 15,800 feet. According to the owners of the ground the tunnel is the deepest one in the district. It has already been driven for more than 2500 feet, and during its progress has cut numerous mineralized tissures. The general course of the tunnel tun-nel is southwesterly, and it will traverse trav-erse and develop at considerable depth the twenty-one claims of the LeVine-Pratt-Allen group. It will also traverse, when completed, the property of the following companies: com-panies: The Bingham Copper Boy, Venice gToup, Utah-Apex, Utah Consolidated, Consoli-dated, Bingham & "ew Haven, property of the United States Mining company, and will tap at considerable depth the holdings of the Utah Copper company, With a view to starting operations in the near future, engineers have recently re-cently made an examination of the tunnel tun-nel and the claims through which it has been driven. According to their reports the probabilities of developing ore in commercial quantities are said to be good. ' |
