An interesting "leaf" from an old album al-bum is the picture shown herewith of one of the first Oldsmo biles manufactured. manufac-tured. The wonderful development of automobiles auto-mobiles is nowhere more graphically depicted de-picted than in these two contrasting pictures. pic-tures. It will be remembered by those who have followed the automobile situation from its iui-ipioney that the Qld-sinouHc has always stood as standard in its grade, and its development from year to year has always been just a step in advance of its contemporaries. A. E. Tourssen of the Randall-Dodd Auto company stated yesterday that every year since his firm took the agency for the Oldsmobile in this territory' ter-ritory' the sales of this car have steadily increased. This means that an Oldsmobile Oldsmo-bile owner, according to Mr. Tourssen, is always a satisfied owner, and when he buys another car it is generally a later model of the Oldsmobile. "This season's sales of Oldsmobiles, " said Mr. Tourssen yesterday, "have surpassed sur-passed all expectations. At the outset of the season we anticipated no such heavy demand for cars in this territory and expected and even promised to make deliveries just as fast as we made the sales. The situation, however, quicklv and unexpectedly complicated itself, ana we found ourselves with scores of orders or-ders for Oldsmobiles, and the factory unable to ship cars anywhere near as rapidly as we could sell them. '"Through the early part of the season sea-son we were in desperate straits for Oldsmobilei. Week after week went by with purchasers and prospective pur-, chasers of Oldsmobiles clamoring to see the cars, and to effect immediate possession pos-session of those they had purchased. Night letters, day letters, typewritten letters, and even a personal trip to the factory by myself vainly endeavored to sped up shipments and obtain new apportionments ap-portionments of cars for this territory. I Fortunately, however, those who had .decided to purchase Oldsmobiles were so firm in their belief that it was really the car they wanted, and no other car would do. that we lost vory few sales through these delays, and the factory, as tho season advanced, was able to gradually grad-ually relieve the situation. The last few weeks we have bean receiving from one to two carloads of Oldsmobiles a week in this territory, and we fee) that we now have the situation well in hand- "Last week we received and delivered to purchasers three carloads of Oldsmobiles. Oldsmo-biles. During the coming week we will receive four more carloads, which, with few exceptions, are already spoken for. "My candid advice, however," con' tinued Mr. Tourssen, is that those who desire Oldsmobiles in either the large or the small types, place their orders immediately, im-mediately, as under the conditions as they exist this season, we are obliged to serve purchasers in order." The Randall-Dodd Auto company, agents in this territory for the Olnsuio-bile, Olnsuio-bile, report sixty Oldsmobiles sold already al-ready this season, amoug which will be found the following, to whom were delivered de-livered cars during the past week: Zion's Savings Bank, Jack Hansen, Charles Wilkinson, W.
