HAMMOND CANAL TO BE INSPECTED Salt Iia&o Security & Trust Company Officials Planning to Enlarge the Canal. Vice President John Hie key, Cashier George M. Cannon, Assistant Cashier A. C. Sullivan and several of the directors di-rectors of the Bait Lake Security & Trust company will spend Labor dav inspecting in-specting the work on the Hammond canal near Brigham City. The party will make the trip by automobile. The canal was originally planned with a view to snnplving the farmer? on the east iie of Bear river with water from tv-e old Rotbwell canal. From thi canal 6500 acres of fertile ?ugar beet land have been watered. The Salt Lake .Security .Se-curity & Trust company plans to enlarge the canal and bring from 3000 to SOO acres under the project.
