Show I Jr. High playoffs today The regular season came to a close for Davis District Junior High girls' basketball last week, as South Davis and Kaysville wrapped up division tit-les. tit-les. With playoffs set to conclude in today's championship game, this year's champion will be crowned, v In games of last Tuesday, South Davis dropped Centerville 63-41 in a battle of the top two teams in the Southern Division. That allowed South Davis to finish with a 9-1 record, while Centerville finished with a 7-3 re-cord. re-cord. Mueller Park concluded with a 6-4 record, same as that of Farming-f: Farming-f: : ton. Farmington was seeded third entering this week's playoffs. Other games in the Southern Division last week found Mueller Park dropping Millcreek 49-39, and Farmington beating Bountiful 59-35. In the Northern Division, Kaysville finished with a perfect 10-0 record, but had to go into double overtime to edge Sunset 44-43. Central Davis took a 58-45 decision from North Davis, and Syracuse dropped North Lay-I?' Lay-I?' ton 67-59 in the other game Tuesday. : Seedings from the Northern Division found Central tfavis and Syracuse j- finishing with 6-4 records, while North Layton grabbed the fourth and final playoff berth with a 5-5 record. In first round games played Monday, North Layton visited South Davis, Farmington was at Central Davis, Mueller Park took on Kaysville, and Syracuse was at Centerville. Winners were to play Tuesday afternoon, fol-:; fol-:; lowing our deadline, and the championship game is set for 3 p.m. this afternoon at a site still being determined as we went to press.
