She was born in Salt Lake City and graduated from West High School. She married Marlow Garrett Burningham in 1931 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She worked for the Auerbach's Credit department. After the death of her husband she went to work for Bountiful City and retired after 17 years of service. ser-vice. Married Melvin Richard Campbell April 4, 1953. She has two children: Carol Joyce Burningham Burning-ham Rawlins and Marlow Burt Burningham. She has 10 grandchildren grandchil-dren and 20 great-grandchildren. She comes from a family of seven brothers and sisters and has four generations of Bountiful City firemen. She has been in the Relief Society presidency and was the secretary of the stake Genealogical Society. She has many hobbies that she loves. Starting at age six, she learned to crochet. Since then she has made many beautiful hankies, pillow cases and doilies. Later her interests turned to quilting with applique ap-plique work being her specialty. She has made all her grandchildren grandchil-dren and great-grandchildren quilts and afghans She has written poetry and keeps up genealogy records re-cords and has up-to-date scrap-books: scrap-books: She also has a green thumb and helps Melvin in his greenhouses. |
