M " ' ' A"f, t i - - - r .s t ' I - - I I ' ' " ' i- m BRIAN HANEY Brian Haney, son of Merv and Anne Haney, received his Eagle Scout award Dec. 4. He is a member mem-ber of Troop 263. He is in the ninth grade at Mueller Muel-ler Park Jr. High. He enjoys football, foot-ball, wrestling, skiing and playing r the guitar. For his Eagle project he organ ized the scouts to bring surveys and information on rat control to the area. Brian would like to thank his scouting leaders in the Bountiful 30th Ward who helped him achieve this goal. MARK G. NELSON Mark G. Nelson, 15, was presented pre-sented his Eagle award in a special ceremony held in the Bountiful 50th Ward. For his Eagle project, Mark organized the scouts to build a 105 ' foot split rail fence around the walkways to protect the flowers and shrubs at the Davis YMCA in LaMesa, Calif. Newspapers were collected and donations given to raise the money to purchase the wood for the fence. Mark would like to extend a special spe-cial thanks to his leaders and friends in the Bountiful 50th Ward who helped make the Eagle Court of Honor so special and for their help and encouragement, and his leaders in San Diego. Mark is the son of Garth and Carolyn Nelson, and the grandson of J. Allen and Alta Taylor. He is a sophomore at Bountiful High. ERIC CHAMBERLAIN Eric Chamberlain was honored for attaining the rank of Eagle Scout at a special court of honor held Nov. 30 at the Val Verda Eighth Ward. Eric also received a Bronze Palm for five merit badges he had earned since earning his Eagle in September. Eric is the son of Bob and Louise Chamberlain. He is a member of Troop 240. Eric has earned the Arrow of Light, Gospel in Action, and On My Honor Awards, and he has enjoyed being a den chief for the past two years For his Eagle project he planned, organized, and with a group of scouts, constructed a permanent light post for the amphitheater at Camp Piuta. Eric is in the ninth grade at South Davis Junior High where he is a high honor student, on the citizenship citizen-ship rolls and active in the band. He enjoys soccer, football, and skiing. Eric and his family appreciate the time, effort, talent and support of all his advisors and leaders during dur-ing his scouting program. |
