Show Bountiful students excel down Christmas trees caused environmental en-vironmental destruction, and questioned ques-tioned whether Clearfield's plan to kill microorganisms in animal feed really provided retirement security for the elderly. The team received a well deserved de-served trophy for second in sweepstakes, sweep-stakes, as well as many individual awards. The speech and debate team's fabulous performance was topped at Skyline I.E. where at least half the team broke into final rounds, and five students received first place trophies. The team took sweepstakes by 22 points and is definitely de-finitely something to "rave" about. The senators hosted an exciting marathon dance where students stayed all night after getting pledges for Santa-aid. At the dance, Layna Roberts bent down the furthest without touching the ground, and won a coupon. Sheri Jorgensenalso ' won a coupon, for bending backward back-ward in the limbo. Everyone got involved in kissing rugby. For some, the reward was being kissed, and for others, getting a bloody lip. The night was a tremendous success! suc-cess! The last activity Rudolph attended was the Christmas girls' dance, held in the Capitol rotunda. Couples danced in the beautiful "Winter Wonderland," and Rudolph became homesick. His cold was better and he longed for the freezing temperatures of the North Pole. Though Rudolph would never again return to BHS, he would always remember the fantastic fan-tastic weeks of success he participated partici-pated in there. The temperature was below freezing, a biting ice-cold wind blew, and Santa's favorite reindeer, rein-deer, Rudolph, had returned after a two week absence. , When Santa asked Rudolph where he had been, Rudolph said he was tired of the North Pole and went to visit an incredible place called cal-led Bountiful High School. At this amazing school, activities and organizations were surrounded with success. For instance, the A'cappella Choir rocked audiences with lullabies lulla-bies while the Chamber and Xela choirs added "voomp" and "mistletoe" "mis-tletoe" to the performance. These traveling groups of singers spread warm holiday wishes throughout their community, and were planning plan-ning a concert series on Dec. 17, 18 and 19. The boys' and girls' basketball teams thrilled audiences with stunning stun-ning victories. Recently, the boys extinguished the flame on "Mount" Olympus, and American Fork suffered a melt down when faced with the Mighty Brave Women. The Olympus flame was further doused by the BHS speech and debate de-bate team who heckled debaters about ab-out dying worms, heckled individuals indi-viduals about whether cutting |
