Their coaches are Craig Hansen, Ray Miebos and Rick Miller. Good luck to the basketball bas-ketball teams, and that's it from the home of the Falcons! Have a merry Christmas! By KAREN WILCOX It's over! After weeks of planning plan-ning and preparation, the Christmas Christ-mas tree contest is over! Twenty-one Twenty-one spirited clubs participated in Clearfield High School's annual Christmas tree contest, and now those trees have gone to local families fami-lies who are in need of a Christmas tree. When it finally came down to it, FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) took it all. They received re-ceived $75 in their account. This club was chartered this year and contains a great amount of school spirit. The advisor is Mrs. Marilyn Olds, a business teacher, who has spent many hours trying to promote prom-ote the club, and has done an outstanding out-standing job! Second place and $5 in their account went to our Jr. ROTC. The advisor is Colonel Hess. The ROTC kids spent many hours on their tree I know by watching them. The tree turned out beautiful with red lights and pink trimming. They were also the most excited group at the assembly. Third place and the sum of $25 in their account went to the Drama Club. Their tree contained the drama dra-ma symbols of comedy and tragedy handmade by the drama kids. Their advisor is Mrs. Brianna Lindahl, our new drama coach. She has also done outstanding work with our productions of "The Sound of Music" and "Exit the Body." Look for a new musical in the spring. Regarding the prizes, the money comes from the studentbody fund. That money is obtained through stomps, dances and other fund raising projects within the high school. As for a calendar of sports for this week, both our girls' and boys' teams will be playing at home. The girls will face Orem on Dec. 22, the varsity games start at 4.
