Gordon Ptowells entertained a number of little friends, in hopor of his birthday birth-day anniversary, Thursday evening. J. "W. Horne, Mrs. E. E. Kelson and Mrs. Thomas. ' After luncheon, bridge was played. The Saturday Bridge Luncheon club was entertained this afternoon by Mrs. W. W. Waters. Miss Odessa Shaw of Salt Lake, Mrs. J. McL.ichlan, Mrs. A. C. Ensign and Mrs. Claude Raybold were guests of the club. Mr. and Mrs. R. F. McElvenny entertained enter-tained the members cf the Saturday Bridge Luncheon club and their husbands in Their home at the smelter Saturday evening of last week. A color scheme was carried out in purple, lilacs being used in profusion in decorations. Eight tables of bridge were played. The lady's prize for high score was awarded Mrs. E. E. Nelson and the men's prize to Leo Hennebeck. Mrs. Albert Haage entertained Friday evening of last week at "500" for Mr. and Mrs. Ed Jones, Mr. and Mrs. Adrian Jones, Mr. and Mrs. H. S. Harvey, Mr. and Mrs. H. R. Harvey, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Wcolf, the Misses Clara and Alda Okerman, Miss Margaret Haage, Leo Okerman and Lester and Oscar Fred-erickson. Fred-erickson. The ladies' first prize was won by Mrs. Ed Jones and the ladies' consolation consola-tion prize by Mrs. Wolf. The men's first prize was won by Lester Frederickson and the men's consolation prize by Oscar Frederickson. Miss Alda Okerman. accompanied ac-companied by Miss Margaret Haage on the piano, rendered several vocal selections, selec-tions, which were much enjoyed. The religion' class of Mrs. Albert Haage, consisting of ten boys and girls, met at her home Thursday nad spent an enjoyable afternoon with dancing, games and refreshments. The Iris Bridge club met with Mrs. F. A. Junker Friday afternoon of last week. All members were present, except Mrs. A. P. Kimball. Mrs. Hodge Marshall substitute:! sub-stitute:! in her place. Mrs. H. E. Atchison Atchi-son will entertain the club next Thursday Thurs-day at her home on West Seventeenth avenue. Mrs. W. T. Miller was hostess to the Five Hundred club Wednesday. Her guests were Mrs. J. T. Miller and Mrs. R. M. Leasy. Mrs. Albert Hardy won first prize. Mrs. Arnold Taylor won the consolation prize, and Mrs. Leasy the guest prize. Tho next meeting will be held with Mrs. Arnold Taylor. Mr. and Mrs. S. C. Land celebrated their seventh wedding anniversary Thursday evening. Bridge was played and refreshments were served. The guests were Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Aldridgo, Mr. and Mrs. Earle Lees, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred White, Mr. and Mrs. Rex Souther-land, Souther-land, Mr. and Mrs. A. P. Kimball, Mr. and Mrs. F. A. Janker, Mrs. F. A. Cross and Mrs. H. E. Atchison. Evans entertained at dinner Sundftv evening for Mr. and Mrs. William Naisbitt and children of Salt Lake. Mrs. R. Randolh, Sr., left Thursday for Portland. Ore., to spend the summer. Mrs. W. M. Campbell and children, Myrtle and Claude, left for Salt Lake Thursday. They will reside for several weeks at 356 East First South street, and Myrtle will be under the care of ah eve specialist and physician until she has fully regained her former good eyesight and general health. Mrs. A. R. Knott, .the Misses Lucille and Marian Collins, Miss Kathryn Young and J. H. Collins, all of Salt Lake City, were the dinner guests of Mrs. George H. Christensen and daughter, Bernlce, of Salt Lake, were the guests of Mrs. Lucinda Patton in Arthur the first of the week. Bervl and Alton Nance entertained twenty-four of their little friends Saturday Satur-day afternoon of last week. Games and i refreshments were thoroughly enjoyed by the children.
