OCR Text	Show SEVEN BIDS OPENED BY COMMISSIONERS The board of county commissioners opened yesterday seven bids for contracts con-tracts of paving of Redwood road and two for paving of Highland drive. All were turned over to the county surveyor sur-veyor for tabulation and report back. Contracts will probably not be let until County Commissioner Joseph S. Lindsay Lind-say arrives back from Los Angeles, where he has gone to inspect roads. Bids were called for on five kinds of construction, concrete, reinforced concrete, bituminous and bituminous surface on both concrete and crushed rock base. Not all of the bidding con-tracters con-tracters submitted bids on all of the specified kinds of construction. Those who submitted bids on the Highland drive paving were Gibbons & Reed and Strange & Maguire. Those who bid on the Redwood road work were Eyberg Brothers. P. J. Moran Paving company, Owen H. Gray, Wattis & Samuels. H. G. Gilkerson, Gibbons & Reed and Strange & Maguire.
