The competition will be over a new course, Salt Lake to Murray. The list of prizes is said to be the largest ever hung up for the event, carrylns rewards re-wards of a total of more than $700. Almost every rider who vi;i be able to finish tho race will come within the number of prizewinners,, since there are fifty prizes in all.' The winner of the time prize will be given a SiiO nineteen-jewel Elgin watch. All the other prizes arc ot hirh class and will be useful and valuable articles. Manager Ted Hearen has followed amateur spore for the past twenty-five years and has always adhered strictly to clean amateur rules. He says tiie race this year will be handled in tho eame manner as before. The riders are cae:er for the contest. They are training daily over the new course and can be seen at work almost any time of the day from daylight to dark. It is expected there will bo some surprises in the race this year, as there are a good many dark horses who have never ridden before, and, from the talk that is going on about the bike stores, there is no question that a record will be hung up this year.
