' Wells was matched to meet Frank Barrieau in Pueblo last week, and Manager Downing made him a proposition to come over here and take on the colored boy. Wells has been working out daily at Cox's gymnasium with -Tack Downey as a sparring partner, and has made a lot of friends by his gentlemanly manner man-ner and his aggressive style of milling, and those who have watched him work are picking him to beat the colored boy.
