Show ARMY SCORES ONLY THREE ON LEBANON WEST POINT, N. Y.. Sept. 35. The Army eleven won the first' contest of ita season from Lebanon Valley college today, to-day, 3 to 0. The collegians displayed a wonderful defense. Twice the Army men had the ball at Iehanon's five-yard line, but were forced to abandon their line-smashing attack at-tack and resort to forward passing, a ; style of game in which the cadets were I woefully weak today. j Vidal, recently from the University of South Dakota, played well. He booted a field goal near the end of the second : quarter which gave the soldiers their only I score. Olipiiant was the most consistent j ground gainer for the Army, while Mc-Ewan, Mc-Ewan, the Army captain, was a power in I breaking up the collegians' attack. Lineup and summary : Army (3).
