Show OIIOI DRILL IS SHMflRE ORE Hole Number Six Strikes High-grade in the Old Emma Ground. ( Diamond drill hole No. 6 has cut the ore body in the old Emma ground at a point about twenty-five teet to the northeast of hole iSo. H, according to Consulting Engineer and Managing Director Di-rector 0. S. Herzig, who returned yesterday yes-terday from the property in the Little Cottonwood district. The work of preparing pre-paring to mine the ore body discovered by the drilling operations is being rushed ahead as rapidly as possible. In the presence of Mr. Herzig and other officials of the company, tho drill late on Thursday night entered tho ore body. This was evident by the chango in the water coming up through the drill casing and carrying with it the cuttings oi the rock being penetrated. I The water suddenly turned black, coincident coin-cident with the slowing down of the drill, indicating that it had reached a harder formation, fcsome of the sludge was caught in a pan and it showed the characteristic powdered galena. One section of the core assayed as high as 21S ounces in silver to the ton, according accord-ing to Mr. Herzig. The ore taken from the first few inches of the body that the drill penetrated pene-trated proved to bo occurring in the same brccciated limestone- formation found in the upper and lower parts of the other two nolcs. The breccia represents rep-resents a zone of fracturing which is favorable for ore deposition. The mnn-Mgement mnn-Mgement is of the opinion that hole No. 15 is continuing to furnish still further I evidence to the effect that the continuation con-tinuation of tho old Emma ore body has been discovered.
