Doscher on tlie northeast corner of Broadway and Third East streets for Alex Beveridge, local agent for Ford cars. In construction the building build-ing will be up to the minute and modern in every detail. When completed, the building, of wliii.h t ho front elevation is shown above, will be occupied by A lex Hev-e Hev-e ridge, local representative of the famous fa-mous Ford motor cars. It will have a frontage of eighty five feet and a depth of 100 feet. The building will contaiu salesroom, offices, garage or service room, stockroom, stock-room, .supply room and shop. The salesroom sales-room will be finished with white tile floor, with colored tile borders and tile base; the salesroom, offices, etc., will be finished in gumwood, the ceiling in the salesroom will be beamed, the walls will be decorated in the la teat designs of fresco coloring. The general office is so arranged that the office force has clear view at all times of the salesroom, garage, service room and, shop. The garage will be one of the widest in the state, having a width of fifty-five feet, without a .post to interf'-rn with ;the handling of cars. The machm-i shop, as well as the garage, opens on paved driveways, which will prevent congestion conges-tion or delay in handling service ih quick order. The building will be ecpiipped with the latest type Keywanee smokeless steam heating plant. The erection of the building will be under the personal supervision of Mr. Beveridge, assisted by J. S. Birch, a well-known architect. Mr. Beveridge is one of tho best known automobile dealers in the state, being one of the pioneers in the business. busi-ness. He and the Ford motor cars are old-time friends, he having sold the Ford during the years of 1005-1906 and again in 1009, 1 Since 1900 Mr. Beveridge has been connected with some of the leading automobile au-tomobile companies in the state, acting as salesman for the Sharman Automo-bilo Automo-bilo companv and then as manager for the Automobile Sales company and the Cheesman Automobile company. . He was the promoter of the Automobile row, having handled the promotion and supervision of practically every automobile automo-bile building on Fourth South street and lower Main street, spending the greater part of the Inst three years erecting automobile buildings, having been very successful in that line. But he could not resist the call from the Ford Motor Car company when its local manager, J. A. Hamlin, offered him the agency for the Ford car. Mr. Beveridge has opened temporary quarters at 440-447-419 South Main street and can be found there until the new building is completed, which will be some time during the latter part of November. At their temporary loca tion he and his assistants will be glad ' to meet all old-time friends and users of Ford cars, also future purchasers of Ford cars, lie says that thev can make a few early deliveries of cars to those placing their .orders promptly; also that they are in a position to take care of all repairs for Ford cars. Mr. Bever- j iilge claims that nil drivers of or purchasers pur-chasers of Ford cars calling at the new building, when completed, will have the honor of buying or having their car repaired in the most eiahoratp and best arranged building in the iutermountain j country. j |
