Show GRAFT ON FOOD IN RUSSIA IS CHARGED Special Cable to The Tribune. COPENHAGEN, Sept. 30. Russian papers pa-pers publish details of a gigantic scandal which has caused great excitement throughout the empire of the czar. According Ac-cording to these reports, a number of well-known and Influential financiers and several high officials have been arrested in Petrograd, Moscow, Kleff and other cities. Among those arrested are. Rnhlnaf ein, the manneer of the Franco-Russian bank of Petrograd, witli his wife and two hroth-ers; hroth-ers; the director of the rubber factory of Treukolnik & Co., the proprietors of the banking firm of Juncker Brothers, and Wolf. soh n, a famous lawyer and attorney for the Spanish embassy. The financiers and their confederates In official circles are- accused of having formed a ring for Illegal speculation and usury. It is charged that they bought up sugar, grain, meat and other foods and held these necessities until the prices were driven up. The profits they made through these illegal maneuvers are estimated esti-mated at millions of dollars.
