Show TEA GIVEN UNDER LEAGUE'S AUSPICES A tea was held under the auspices of the Home and School league from 3 to 6 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the home of its president, Mrs. George N Bacon, 87 U street. The affair was entirely informal. The tjueaia ui uonor were j r. b. A. Smith superintendent of the Salt Lake schools, and Assistant Superintendent George N. Child. There were about 100 present, invitations having been sent to all presidents and delegates of local parent-teacher associations. Among those present were Judge Le Grand Young, Bishon Paul Jones, Principals Prin-cipals John H. Coombs and J. T. Worl-ton, Worl-ton, the Rev. John Malick, Miss Joanna Sprague, city librarian; Professor J. E. McKnight and Dean Milton Bennion both of the University of Utah. ' The musical programme was in charge of Hugh W. Dougall, music supervisor. The musical programme consisted of violin, vio-lin, selections by Owen Bartlett and George Skelton; contralto solo bv Miss Kvangel ue Thomas, accompanied by Miss Edna Edwards, and soprano solos by Miss Edna Anderson, accompanied by Miss Edna Edwards. The social part of the tea was in charge of Mrs. O. W. Moyle, chairman of this committee. |
