Show PLAN NEW HIGHWAY INTO ARBON VALLEY Special to The Tribune. I FOCATEI.LO, Idaho. Sept. 30. A com- mittee has been appointed by the Com- X merclal club to investigate the construe- 2 tion of a wagon road between this city S and the productive Arhon valley region. Tills is a distance of about forty miles, v over what is known as the Trail Creek ? route. i A survey of this route, which shortens the distance between this city and the Arbon valley about ten miles, was made two years ago. Owing to what appeared in be favorable prospects for the con-st con-st nil -t ton of a railroad into the valley nothing furt her was done. The railroad project was revived during 2 the past summer, and, although favorably I jri paesed upon by representatives of eastern I engineering and bonding firms, it was j de'ined that owing to excessive construction construc-tion 'ost It was not advisable to under- S lake the project under present conditions.
