Show START SHIPPING ORE FROM BE1R COPPER Four Faces of Ore Opened on the 100-foot Level of Property. Four faces of ore have boon opened on the 100-foot level of the Boarer Copper Cop-per Mining company's property, located in the Beaver Lako milling district of Beaver county, according to local officials. offi-cials. Shipments will be started in the very near future and a carload of ore , is being prepared at present to be sent to tho smelter. Sloping1 drills were ordered or-dered and shipped to the property by express yesterday. Lewis Merriman, general manager of the company, left Salt Lake last night for the property. He goes to supervise the sloping operations that are to be started in the ore. Tho company has been doing considerable development work recently and Ibis has been confined con-fined to drifting on the ore that was encountered. " ork was suspended on the various faces of ore in the drift a few days ago and the greater portion of tho working force was started breaking break-ing the ore for shipment. The ptoping operations, however, were not started, the officials at the property awaiting the arrival of General Manager Merriman. Merri-man. The ffices of ore vary in width from one foot to as wido as twelve feet. The twelve-foot breast, however, is not entirely en-tirely made up of shipping ore. A portion por-tion of it is of milling grade and Ihn product, after being broken, is sorted to bring it, up to a shipping grade. Tho values nre principally in copper. The shipping ore runs on an average about 8 per cent in copper and about ceven ounces in silver to the ton, with low gold values. The management is of the opinion that within ihirfy days four carloads of ore of shipping grndo c.nn be sent out each month. |
